Well, it's been two days since the big event, and I needed to get some model releases before posting this blog. And, since I really didn't get them, I figured I'd post anyway. Everyone's got a sense of humor....and, it's all good. A great time was had by all! Let's rock out again real soon (like New Year's Eve!)

Ok, I admit it....I'm not used to the weather being quite this cold. But, I sure do love it! I walked to work this morning at just before 8 a.m., camera in hand. My steps were covered in snow, and I was careful footed so as not to slip. It is so beautiful with everything covered in white.  Tonight's freeze is a pipe buster, and I'm taking precautions. Meanwhile, I need to come up with something far more witty to blog next time....for now, stay warm all!

On this special Christmas Eve, I was privileged to gain entry into Louise's private world, "Fire in the Hole". She served cocktails to the party guests (which were probably spiked, from what I could see as the guests dropped like flies) and kept a poker face about it all evening. Just because I'm posting this at not quite 10:30, it doesn't mean the party isn't probably still going strong. Louise sure knows how to throw a bash....everyone was there! We made ornaments, drank fine beverages and ate great food, hung out by the fire and enjoyed Louise's lair - "Fire in the Hole" (more photos on the next blog). Merry Christmas all - Sure is great to be in Bisbee, thanks to all of you!

There seem to be strange doings out in Big Sur, California.....Pfeiffer Beach, where the sun comes streaming through this huge hole in the rock only during a brief time in winter, has brought with it something entirely different this year. Considering that Big Sur is as open to its "unique visitors" as Bisbee, I can only imagine that Creature here will be sitting at the local pub by this evening with some of the locals and sharing stories. Happy Solstice! (a little early)

On my way back from California to Bisbee, I needed some road directions. Navigating the freeways of Southern California just got too confusing for me, being a Northern California girl. Truly, it's two separate states, even if it all has the same name. Not to mention that it's hard to drive at 80 mph while looking at the tiny gps screen on my cell phone.  So......I rang up this awesome dude at the AAA named Perrie. His specialty, as it turns out, is rescuing traveling damsels in distress by giving them directions over the phone from his cubicle office in an urban backstreet (he wouldn't give me the exact address) in New York City.  Funny thing is, I think I dialed the wrong 800 number while calling for directions and now I can't reach him again. The lack of voice prompts before reaching him should have tipped me off. He did send me this photo of himself to my cell phone after the call (caller ID said "UNKNOWN"). The mystery man....I hope I hear from him again. ...
